Intercessory Prayer

Intercession is a gift, and a ministry. Not listed amongst the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Not specifically mentioned in the Bible as a ministry, but the power of intercession is seen many times in the lives of prophets, priests and kings, and ordinary people like you and me. It is a back-up ministry - a support ministry, always in the background. Yet it is so powerful, that it determines the course of events.

Prayer in simply talking to God. But intercession brings our spirit into line with the heart and desire of God and partners with the Holy Spirit in accomplishing God's desire, and therefore spiritual victory. Intercession can manifest itself in many ways - i.e., watching, weeping, groaning declaring, supplicating, pleading, shouting, laughing, carrying a burden, and prophetic acts, being some of them. All are Scriptural.

Married Life at Central Community Church provides opportunities and communities for spiritual growth where hurts are healed, where friendships are developed, where authentic relationships are built, where marriages are strengthened, families are bonded, where people are valued, where love is alive and where Jesus Christ is Lord. All this happens thru weekly small groups, activities, retreats, conferences and joining together in reaching out and serving those within our community and world.

The purpose of out Married Life ministry here at Central is to help all married couples do three things.

1. Help connect people into authentic relationships at Central Community Church.

2. Help married couples grow and mature in their relationship with Jesus Christ and one another.

3. To equip and encourage married couples to serve in ministry.

The Singles Ministry at Central strives to create the best possible, most exciting environments for single adults to continue to mature their walk with God and with each other.  The singles ministry plans events, bible studies, outings, mission projects and much more to involve single adults in ministry.  At Central, we believe that God has a place for each and every person no matter what circumstances you face in life.
